Kenneth Frith Obituary

Kenneth (Ken) Frith has left this earth for Heaven on Jan. 26, 2015 Ken was born in Summerfield, AL April 3, 1933. He graduated from Dallas County High School, Plantersville, AL 1950. Ken joined the Navy in 1952. He served 12 years. He was an Opticalman Chief Petty Officer. Injured in 1964; he was released from the Navy. Ken then joined the DeKalb County Ga. Police Dept. in 1967. Continued with the DeKalb Police until 1979. Prior to joining the Navy, Ken married Rose Zella Thrasher, West Blocton, AL. They had 4 children, Rhenae and AL Frith from Montgomery, AL; Pam Clifton, New Port News, VA and Rodney Frith, Franklin TN. He has 7 grandchildren and 20 great granchildren. 1968 Ken met and married Brenda Horton, Decatur, Ga, while employed by the DeKalb Co., Ga. Police Dept. Brenda Starr now resides in Nashville, TN. Has one step son, Tracy Horton, who now resides in Suawanne, Ga. And 2 step grandchildren with Tracy. 1981 he married Kathy Webb, Decatur, Ga. In 1982 he and his wife, Kathy, moved to Bradenton, FL and opened Kathy's Collectibles on Cortez Road. Since that time he became associated with Bradenton Antiques and continued until his kidney failure illness began in 2012. Kathy preceded Ken in May 2010. Has 3 step children, Dennis Webb, Pierce City, MO, Chrystal Martinez, Myakka City, FL and Michael Webb, Bradenton, FL. Has 4 step grandchildren. Many people will miss Ken. Visitation will take place on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10am at Manasota Funeral Home with a service to follow with Teresa Rivera officiating. Burial will follow at Manasota Cemetery with Military Honors on Saturday, Feb 7 at 12pm.
