Magali De Rodriguez Obituary

Magali Montesino de Rodriguez
July 5, 1939 - October 8, 2021
Sarasota, Florida - Our hearts are heavy with the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Magali was an enthusiastic, loving, giving woman who lived her life to the fullest, always believing the best in people, and that everything was possible with God's help. She was a woman of deep faith, a teacher by heart and soul, whose dedication to children and youth spanned decades. She was a patron of the arts and her love of music led her to develop programs to strengthen fine arts education in Puerto Rico.
Magali lived with the love of her life, Manolo Rodriguez, for 62 years in Cuba, New York, Puerto Rico, and Florida. They shared a life full of adventures, strong values, and devotion to each other. She was a wonderful mother to her children; Maggie Gustavus and Manny Rodriguez; and son-in-law, Mark Gustavus; and daughter-in-law, Joann Rodriguez. She was an exceptional grandmother to her grandchildren; David Rodriguez, Julie Rodriguez, Allen Wier, Leigh Ann Gustavus, and Adam Gustavus. Her sisters; Barbara Montesino and Teresita Beltran Rodriguez were deeply loved and her life-long companions. She leaves a legacy of hope and encouragement to live our lives to the fullest. We are grateful to her for this life-changing gift.
The family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital be made in her honor in lieu of flowers.
