Marian Brunson Obituary
February 8, 1936 - February 18, 2025
Lexington, Kentucky - Marian Eanes Brunson, 89, passed away peacefully in Lexington, Kentucky, on February 18, 2025. She was born February 8, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Ballard and Agnes Eanes.
Marian was married to Charles "Mickey" Brunson for 39 years, until his death in 2012. They owned and operated Suncoast Paint Center and Ellenton Paint Center for over 30 years. Marian was active in the community and was a lifetime member of Entre Nous and a member of West Bradenton Baptist Church. In 2005, Marian and Mickey retired to Bryson City, North Carolina, where they enjoyed exploring the area and watching the deer and wild turkey graze on their hillside.
Marian loved her family and is survived by daughter Susan Bryson Speckert (Christopher) of Lexington, Kentucky; stepdaughter Amy Summers of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren Cory Barker, Bethany Brunson Weber (Wes), Charlotte Brunson, Julie Ann Calhoun, Evan Bryson, and Avery Summers; and, great grandchildren Narella Barker, Elias Barker, Logan Barker, Kyle Barker, Emelia Weber and Everett Weber.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Marian's family wants to thank the wonderful staff at the Homeplace at Midway for the loving and compassionate care shown Marian in the last year of her life.

Remember her well. Taught VBS with her and she was a patient in our dental practice. We lost touch after she moved to NC but know I will see her in Heaven again soon. Blessing to all the family.

I'm sad to hear Marian passed away. For several years we sat together at First Baptist Church of Palmetto in the back row. She was a lovely lady and I feel blessed to have known her those few years.
