Bradenton, Florida - Michael Thomas Murphy passed away on July 7, 2022 at the age of 47. Michael was born October 11, 1974 in Monroe, NY to Edward (deceased) and Eileen Murphy. Michael graduated from Manatee High School in 1993 and was part of the 1992 State Champion football team. Michael went on to college and
Law School, where he graduated from NSU Law School in 2001 with his Juris Doctorate. Michael is a member of The Florida Bar, Florida Justice Association, The American Association of Justice, Manasota Trial Lawyers Board, Sarasota County Bar Association and the distinguished Manatee American Inn of
Court. Michael loved sports and family gatherings. Michael was a loving and giving person and will be truly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Eileen; sister, Patty (Mike) Rice; brothers; Eddie (Liz), Kevin (Cindy) and Danny; nephews; Kenny Rice and Cole Murphy; nieces; Chrissy Rice, Cameron Murphy and Payton Murphy, all of Bradenton. Visitation will be from 5-7PM, Friday, July 15, 2022 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd St W, Bradenton, FL 34209. Funeral Mass will be 11AM, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 3100 26th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205. Michael and I were opposing counsels on multiple cases, but you wouldn't know that based on how pleasant he was to work with.
