Michael Sansone Obituary

Michael Sansone
June 16, 1949 - February 20, 2022
Bradenton, Florida - Mike was the eldest of five children of Michael and La Verne Sansone. Born in 1949, he worked first for the Boy Scouts of America until 1974. From 1974 to 2010, he served as an Equal Rights Officer for the State of Wisconsin. He also served as the treasurer of AFSCME Local 2748, then Council 24 for many years. He was well respected throughout the State for his advocacy on behalf of the government workers of Wisconsin. These experiences prepared him well for the position of chairman of board of Trailer Estates. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy, in 2018 after 47 years of marriage; his parents; his brother, Edmund; and his second son, Michael Jr. He is survived by his second wife, Linda; his son, Anthony; his daughter-in-law, Allison; and his granddaughter, Líadan. He was so loved and will be greatly missed by all his friends. Keep banging that gavel in the sky my love!

I knew Mike while I worked in the Eau Claire Job Service office starting in the mid 1970s. His obit described him well. It was a pleasure knowing him and working several AFSCME projects with him.
