Paul Christie Obituary

Paul Richard Christie, 88, of Bradenton, passed away on May 19th, 2010. He was born March 16, 1922 in Warren, Pa. He served in the Armed Forces in an Artillery unit during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge and in many other battles. After the war, he returned home and was married in 1946. He and his wife, Phyllis, remained in Warren and raised their family of four children. In 1977, Paul re-tired from Sylvania and he and his wife moved to Largo, Fla. where they enjoyed many years of fun and sunshine. They were avid RVers and traversed the United States many times to see and explore the many scenic sites that the US has to offer. Ultimately, they settled in Palmetto and were most happy with the retirement life style available there. Most recently, Paul became a resident of Bradenton, and thoroughly enjoyed the many newly acquired friendships that he found there. Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years. He is survived by his four children, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. To celebrate Paul Christie's life and to give glory to God, there will be a Worship Service at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Largo, FL on Saturday June 19th at 10:30a.m. He will be buried at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, FL.
