Bradenton, Florida - Rev. Robert L. Hinz, age 75, of Bradenton, FL, passed away at Tidewell Hospice on Monday August 9, 2021, with his loving wife at his side. He was born in Sheboygan, WI on September 14, 1945, the son of Alfred & Viola (Schultz) Hinz. On September 6, 1975 he married Janet M. Hinz.
Robert is survived by his wife, Janet M. Hinz of Bradenton, FL; brother-in-law, Deacon George Schraufnagel of Bradenton, FL; nieces; Stacy, Regina, Tanya, Ericka and nephew, Jason of WI. He was preceded in death by his only brother, Jerry A. Hinz and his parents.
Robert received his Master of Divinity in 1977 from Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO and has served God's people in Montana, Missouri, Louisiana and Maryland. He also served as visitation pastor at Hope Church in Bradenton, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, August 16, 2021 at Hope Church, 4635 26th St. W, Bradenton, FL 34207. Pastor Jim Weist will officiate. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, all memorials will be donated to Hope Church Youth Group. In fond remembrance of Rev. Hinz: I only knew him for four years but in that time I found him to be a warm and dedicated man to the Lord. He had a rich baritone voice and I always looked forward to him speaking or singing in the choir. We truly lost a great pastor and I will always remember him with love and respect.

Pastor Hinz was a wonderful, caring servant of God. I came to know him when my mother was here in Bradenton in assisted living. He came to visit her many times which was a blessing as she wasn't able to attend church services. He brought her the comforting words and assurance from God that she needed. May God now bring you comfort in your time of grief. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Jan and Family,
You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear husband, Rob. He was a wonderful, caring and sincere servant of God. I will always remember his rich baritone voice in the choir and in the pulpit. He will be missed by all. May he rest in peace in the arms of Our Lord.
