Robert Edward Minot

born September 9, 1926, passed away on June 25, 2013. He was born in London, England, the son of Thomas Edward Minot and Marie Ellen Knight of London. During WW II he served as a radio operator in the Royal Merchant Marines. In 1965 Robert and his family came to the United States to start up a dog boarding and grooming business in Fishkill, New York. He is survived by his former wife, Maisie Bull Minot of Fishkill, NY, his daughter, Jayne Minot Hoffman and her husband, Cort Hoffman of Fishkill, NY and his son, Martin Robert Minot and his wife, Nancy Minot of Forest, VA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, C.J. Hoffman, Jordan Minot, and Molly Hoffman. Robert was a lifelong passionate sailor and was a long time member of Chelsea Yacht Club of New York and the Sarasota Sailing Squadron.
