I was a student of Dr. Forgus' during the 1968 summer session at Harvard. Not only did he change my life, but he had such a profound effect on everyone else in the class, they had to post security at the entrance to check to see who was actually signed up and who was crashing. It had gotten around the campus that SOMETHING was going on in this class and everyone was curious. Since then, I've often tried to explain to people how I once had a prof who managed to change everyone's way of thinking, something that none of us had knowingly signed up for...a Guru, before anyone really understood the concept. And it happened in, what should have been, the most benign of Psych classes (I believe it was "Theories in Psychology"?)He was a great philosopher. I wish I could have told him when he was alive the profound affect he had, but I'm sure that he and you have heard this all before. I certainly hope so. I am so sorry for your loss, but so glad I was fortunate enough to have briefly had him in my life. The only notebook I ever saved in my entire school career was from his class: I think that says it all. A great man.

I have known Ronnie for many years as my cousin even though he lived in The USA and myself in SA, Amsterdam and now Melbourne, Australia. He was the reason why I studied Psychology and became a Psychologist just like him. He will be sadly missed and I am priviledged to have seen him in Tampa in 1998 whilst I was in The US. I would like to make contact with his children that I have never met.
