Ronald Lee Konen
April 13, 1961 - October 12, 2023
Bradenton, Florida - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Lee Konen, who left us on October 12, 2023, at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. Born on April 13, 1961, to Richard and Janice Konen, Ronald was a cherished father, brother, and friend. His life was defined by his profound love for his family, his unwavering work ethic, and his steadfast commitment to personal growth. Ronald's humble nature, his dedication to living simply, and his perseverance inspired all who knew him.
Ronald was a proud and devoted father to three children: his son, Ronald Phillip Konen (wife Ashton), and his daughters, Valerie Jean Revis (husband Jesse) and Justine Renee Walker (husband Mikhail). He was a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren: Molly, Jesse Jr., Veronica, and Vivian Revis; and Henry and Calvin Konen. To them, his enduring love and playful spirit will forever remain in their hearts. His presence brought light to every room, and his signature "arghs!" will always be a fond and lighthearted reminder of his unique personality and the way he made even ordinary moments special.
Ronald's life was also deeply enriched by his close relationships with friends and colleagues. He was known for his humor, his unwavering dedication to his work, his ability to bring people together, and his love of sweet corn. His laughter was infectious, and he had a remarkable gift for making others feel valued and comfortable. His presence was a constant source of comfort to those around him, and those who were fortunate to know him will forever remember how he made everyone feel like family.
Although he was preceded in death by his mother, Janice, and brother, Mike; Ronald's legacy will continue through his children, grandchildren, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched. His memory will never fade. The love and lessons he imparted will continue to shape those who knew him. He struggled in life with many different battles, but never gave up; giving each of us a reminder of what truly matters: love, kindness, simplicity, and the importance of cherishing every moment.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Ronald's life will be held on February 22, 2025 at the Bradenton Bowlero from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., where friends and family are welcome to come together to remember him.
Rest in peace, Dad. You will be missed, but never forgotten. Your spirit will live on in all of us.
