Sandra Kelly Contarino, Palmetto, FL (formerly Woodbury Heights, NJ), 86, passed peacefully June 28, 2024, after a long battle with dementia.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Richard, and sister Dorothy.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa, son Rick (& Liz), niece Kelly, nephew Glenn (& Jaimie), grandsons Ian (& Grace), Michael, Rashawn, Gehrig and Killian, and great-granddaughters Lana and Sawyer, as well as many family (Kelly/Contarino/Wenzel) and friends.
Sandra was the most well-read person (every topic imaginable), who always carried herself with class and was dressed to the nines in case the Queen of England should stop by. She enjoyed collecting antique dolls, bears and furnishings and spoke often about her time at the beloved Jersey Shore (Ocean City). She enjoyed her travels abroad, especially India, where she had many close friends.
Fondly known as Grandmere to all, and after raising all grandsons with Pop-pop, Sandra had the privilege in these last 5 years to enjoy two beautiful, spunky, girly granddaughters who brought her such delight and joy. Throughout her illness, she never lost her radiant smile and laughter at the simplest things of life. She will be dearly missed by all.

I had the most wonderful time with Sandra not too long ago. We went to a couple antique stores, and had a delicious lunch together. My time with her will be forever precious in my heart. All my memories of times at the shore (Ocean City), will always put a smile on my face. Thank you Sandra for all the sweet times, and all the memories.
