Deacon Tom O'Connell and his wife Katherine, want the family and friends of Betsy to know how many moments of grace she brought, through her musical gifts, to the many Masses we were at with her. May she rest in peace.

To Betsy's Family,
Betsy certainly fought this battle long and hard. She is resting in the arms of Jesus right now - her battle over. Now she will enjoy her rewards and maybe one day soon, she will be directing Heaven's Choir! You are in our prayers and in our thoughts.

Betsy was truly a courageous person, always laughing and smiling and upbeat, even through this terrible disease. It was a pleasure to have know her and her youngest daughter and to share in her incredible talent. Rest in peace Betsy, you have won the good fight.

Betsy, you will truly be missed by so many whose lives you have touched and enriched. You have blessed so many in your journey through life. Just today I remember swinging and sliding down the slide in your backyard laughing and playing as children. One day to all be reunited in Heaven. What a glorious day it will be. God Bless you and your family.

Betsy was an incredible individual with an abundance of God-given talents. She certainly used her life and gifts to glorify God. We feel the great loss but rejoice in her victory as she now praises God in her eternal home with Him. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: ...II Timothy 4:7-8

Betsy fought a long and courageous battle - and now has her Reward. It seems a great understatement, but it's true: she will be missed.

My heart breaks at learning of the passing of BD (Betsy Darling), as she was known to me and so many others at St. Leo, yet I rejoice with her in knowing that the struggle is over and the battle is won. She now prays for us in ways unknown before. Until we see her again, may she now, with all the saints "from her labors rest."
