Mr. and Mrs. Ackles, I guess I was meant to find out about Scott because I don't live in Bradenton anymore and happened to be looking up someone else. I was shocked to see Scott's name. I don't know what happened to him, but I know how great your sorrow must be. You may not even remember me, but I taught Scott and Jimmy at Stewart Elementary. I've taught many children in my life, and I'm sure there are some that I've forgotten, but you remember the ones that touched your life as Scott did mine. God must have thought he was special as well because He wanted him in Heaven. I am so sorry for your loss and will pray for Scott and your family each day in my prayers. Let the good memories sustain you in the years to come.

Scott, I still can't believe such a thing happened to someone so unique and wonderful as yourself. But instead of feeling sorrow, I am just so thankful to have had you in my life at all. You definitely made the party! You always put a smile on my face, and I look forward to you looking down on me from time to time still having that same effect on me. I wish I could've made it to the funeral, but know that you were always on my mind. I pray that your family will one day find the strength to have some peace. You are not a life lost, but a very good friend gained. Love u always!

Scott buddy this will be a very hard pill to swallow! Times spent with u since our freshman year in high school have all been great, especially those in our twenties! LOTS of great great times brother! There are no possible words that can be used for what has happened. You will be missed dearly by so many, but never forgotten!! I love ya bud! We will definately be on the water again together one day. Keep smiling!!

I will never forget your smile, and your laughter. I will miss you going all in before the flop. Awesome playing style. Keep on playing my friend. Don't know when I will join you, but save a seat for me at the table. My thoughts and prayers go to his family, for there is no greater loss then that of a loved one.

Scott, I'll always remember you calling my bluffs at the poker table...ALMOST every time…! You were an incredibly sweet guy with a hilarious sense of humor and I'll miss that smile as will so many others. You made an impression in a lot of people’s hearts & you’ll never be forgotten.

Hi Julie and Jim, I have enjoyed watching Scott grow up over the years and makes me sad that such a wonderful man's life has been snuffed out. There must be a reason that we don't understand right now, but maybe later. I know that this is hard on the both of you, as parents, right now. Scott, I will never forget all the amazing boat trips, fun nights, and the time you tried to teach me how to snorkel and I just couldn't do it, LOL. I'll take good care of the house for you as long as long as your mom and dad will let me : ) I love and miss you with all of my heart. XOXO

Scott, you were an amazing man. You were a great and supportive friend. We always had a great time in each other’s presence. Whether we were out on the town or just having a bbq, you had a way of making it fun! You always could bring a smile to my face and for that I will be forever grateful. Know that you are missed and loved. And I will find comfort in knowing that you are in heaven looking down upon us all and waiting for the day we each join you! I will find comfort that you are diving, fishing, boating, and playing poker to your hearts content! I don’t look at you as a life lost, but a life lived, full of so many memories that touched so many people with your generous and caring ways! I have known Scott for well over half my life, and there are few poeople on this earth that have a heart as big as Scotts. He was EVERYONES friend and he will truely by missed. I know my world was a better place because I knew him and I very saddened by this loss. MY heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the many of you that share this thought on Scott and also to his family.
