Steven C. Petree Steven C. Petree died on May 25, 2018. He was born on February 3, 1955 to Claude and Florence (Lindamood) Petree in Monroe, MI and he spent his childhood and early adulthood in MI and in TN. He has been a resident of Cortez, FL since 1981. Steve was a loving and generous husband, father & grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Hazel; his sons, Jordan and Ivan; his grandson, Brayden; all of Bradenton, FL; 3 brothers, Claude, Jr., of Tampa, FL, Mark of Knoxville, TN and Allan of Murfreesboro, TN. He was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Florence and his brother, Paul. The family wishes to acknowledge Blake Hospital staff and Tidewell Hospice for their loving care. Steve will be greatly missed and remembered for his generosity, willingness to lend a helping hand and his ever present and infectious sense of humor. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Fisherman's Hall, 4511 124th Street West, Cortez, FL 34215.
