Sun City Center, Florida - Thomas Leroy Broome "Tom" passed away on October 25, 2021. He was born on August 24, 1935, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to the Late Leroy Broome and Beatrice (Schudi) Lahah. He was an avid golfer, devoted Florida Gators Fan, and beloved coach for the Manatee County Youth Football League. Tom was also a devoted and loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. He is survived by his children; Mitzi A. Levins, Rhonda Wierichs, Cindy Willms; grandchildren; Cortney (James) Levins-Toole, Kyle Levins, Lacee Wierichs, Leah (Shane) Knight; great-grandson, Jaxon Toole; siblings; David Broome, Gary Broome, Mike Broome, Janice Broome-Hirsig, Robert Pettee, Jimmy Pettee, Roger Pettee, Cynthia Lahah, Patricia Lahah; many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Broome. A private celebration of life will be held for Tom.

My condolences to the family. Coach Broome was the HBC for our Sertoma Club Eagles. He made us Champions on the field and for life. I loved that man. RIP Coach.

Coach Broome was a great coach and mentor for the Manatee Mustangs. He touched so many young men all of his many former players are grieving today. Mitzi, Rhonda, and Cindy my prayers are with you.
