Ellenton, Florida - Thomas Mitchell Harris was born on May 15th, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio to Agnes Hughes and Tom Harris. Tommy was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on August 15th, 2023. Tommy is survived by his daughter Ashley Danielle Carestia. Also three sisters Billie McLeod, Cathy Angus and Teresa Foister. As well as a brother Tracy Powers, many friends, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11am to 4pm at the Tarpon Bay Grill and Tiki located at 7150 North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota on August 26th. He lived aboard one of his boats in the late 90's. Come visit to reminisce.

Cousin Tommy and I just recently found each other on Facebook and had a lot of reminiscing and catching up to do. It was wonderful. The news of his passing is shocking and very sad. Love you, Tommy.

My deepest most sincere heart felt Condolences To all family members on the loss of Thomas Harris/Tommy.
Tommy and his then-wife Pam, while we were kids in our 20s became very good friends and raising our 2 children- Myself with then husband
Bob Holland and our children Ashley and Robbie who were only weeks apart.
We were in constant company with one another and enjoyed the joys of our friendship and young parenthood together.
We would get together for picnics and parties as well as Ashley's beauty pageants that we were very supportive of as she always did exceptionally well.
We seemed to always be there for each other and Tommy was always there For for us on solutions whatever they were or a need .
We shared a love for our Beautiful Himalayan cats As well as the love of being on the water.
Tommy had a wonderful sense of humor And as I know he really cherished his friendships.
