St Petersburg FL, Florida - Walter Richard Larson, age 94, passed away August 25, 2024 in St. Petersburg FL. Mr. Larson was born in Greenville MS October 17, 1929 to Ida and Edgar Larson Sr. He was educated in Greenville and graduated from the University of Mississippi. After serving both overseas and in the states, he retired from the US Army with the rank of Captain. He then worked as a supervisor for the State of Florida. Following a second retirement he worked as a Realtor in Pinellas County. Mr. Larson is survived by his wife of 40 years, Julia; daughters Laura Larson, Bradenton; Kimberly Mullins (Bert), Ellenton; stepdaughters Jennifer Beltz (Matthew Wirth) and Rebecca Lazar (Chris), St Petersburg; grandchildren Kate Galvan (Antonio) and Gail Yanuzzelli (Ryan), Ellenton; Andrew Mullins (Amber), Vero Beach; Zane Magedanz (Holly), Weeki Wachee; Zoe Magedanz; David Lazar and Alli Lazar and Victoria Wirth, St. Petersburg. He was predeceased by daughters Karen Larson and Elizabeth Larson. Other survivors include great-grandchildren Adela and Adriana Galvan, Caroline and Savannah Yanuzzelli, Brooke, Abigail and Jackson Mullins, and Sarah, Rhegan and Bentley Magedanz. No services are planned. A celebration of life may be held sometime in the future.
