William Hickman Obituary

William Wissler Hickman

September 11, 2025

Bradenton, Florida - William Wissler Hickman passed away on September 11, 2025. A Vietnam veteran and longtime resident of Bradenton, he worked for many years as a contractor at the helm of his own home building company. Bill loved to sail and travel, steering by his north star and wife of nearly 52 years, Hilary. He is mourned by Hilary and her family, along with the Robert and Holly Hickman family and the Angela and Wendell Dyer family. Bill's many friends will remember his integrity, his quick wit, the honey in his voice, and the twinkle in his eye. The world was more fun with him in it. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Hillary, I am so sad to hear of Bill's passing. It was always a great time seeing you two at the BYC and talking about good old times. It always put a smile on my face to see you both. RIP Bill
