William "Bill" Stott, passed into the hands of his Savior on July 8, 2023. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was born March 31, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a devoted family-man and loyal friend to all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate of 69 years, Carole Stott; two sons; Steve (Kathy) and Danny Stott; two daughters; Candy (Bob) Newman and Cindy (Wray) Williams; and as beloved Poppy to his grandchildren; Gunther (Rin), Holly (Jeremy), April (Joe), Katie (Taylor), and Cory (Paige); great-grandchildren; Nina, Cole, Lilly, Emmaline, Frannie, Maggie, Dolores, Sophia, Ava, Tanner, Hudson; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. He treasured them all. Bill the Bug man, an exterminator for over 50 years, was a dedicated employee and friend to everyone he met. He didn't have customers, they were friends. During his early adulthood, he proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. Bill's retirement years were filled with days of joy combing the beach with his metal detector. Bill will be missed immensely and remembered by all those honored to know him. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:15 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Christ Episcopal Church, 4030 Manatee Ave in Bradenton, FL. Services with full Military Honors to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
