Bradenton, Florida - Zachary Austin Kotchey, 22, of Bradenton, FL died suddenly May 1, 2023. He was born March 30, 2001 in Bradenton, FL, the son of Jason and Margaret Kotchey, brother to Adam Kotchey and grandson of Bruce and Alice Kotchey and Harm and Joanne Velthuis-Kroeze, nephew and cousin to many.
Zachary graduated from Manatee High School and from Manatee Community College with his certificate as an Automotive Service Technician, as he would correct people who called him a mechanic. Zachary was a quiet soul, but once you entered his circle of trust, you were there for life. He loved anything with an engine attached to it. He shared a special bond with his brother, playing video games for hours together and swapping jokes. Celebration of Life and Memories to be held at the Moose Lodge at 310-44th Ave East, Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 1-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Manatee County, 2515-14 St West, Bradenton, FL.

Dearest family and friends...I was on faculty at Manatee High when Zach attended. He always presented himself as such a polite, respectful, caring young man. And he always talked about working on cars! It is heartbreaking to hear of his passing so unexpectedly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you grieve this special young man!
