Alice Hall Obituary

Alice M. Hall, 81, of 130 Greeves St., Kane, formerly of West Kane, died Friday evening (June 29, 2012) at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie.
Born Aug. 28, 1930, in Erie, she was the daughter of Robert P. and Gertrude F. McCartney Clancey. On Jan. 6, 1951, in Cumberland, Md., she married Richard C. Hall, who died in 1966.
She had worked at the Kane Shirt Factory, the Bird Cage, Scutella's Cleaners and the VFW, all in Kane, and was an Avon lady. She then worked in the Kane Quality Markets deli for more than 20 years.
Mrs. Hall was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kane and a 1948 graduate of Kane High School. She served on the class reunion committee for many years as well as the PTA. She was judge of elections in Wetmore Township and 1st Ward Kane for more than 40 years.
Alice enjoyed baking, bingo, cards, the lottery and trips to the casino. Her greatest source of pride was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn (Dennis) Cledgett of Kane; two sons, William (Lynn) Hall of Dryden, N.Y., and Thomas (Connie) Hall of Kane; a brother, Robert P. Clancey Jr. of Mira Mar, Calif.; four grandchildren, Dr. Angela Gutchess, Sarah and Christopher Hall and Eric Bradybaugh; plus a great-grandson, Ashton Bradybaugh. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, are a sister, Irene Fox; and a niece, Patty Howe.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home Inc., where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. William LaVelle, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 112 Greeves St., Kane, PA 16735; or to Friends' Memorial Public Library, 230 Chase St., also in Kane.
