Anita Monti Obituary

RALEIGH, N.C. - Anita Marie Monti, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 14, 2024 in Raleigh at the age of 80.
She was born Aug. 5, 1943, to John Frederick Colosimo Sr. and Josephine Caserio Colosimo in Bradford, Pa.
Anita was formerly married to Gary Bruce Monti and together they raised four wonderful children, Michael Bruce Monti of The Bradford Manor, Melissa Kay Young (Stafford) of Raleigh, Lynn Marie Malling of Pittsboro and Patrick Christopher Monti (Heather) of Gifford, Pa. She was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren, Ashley Hadfield (Josh) of Kane, Pa., Thomas Schultz of Pittsboro, Matthew Young of Raleigh, Hannah Young of Raleigh and Danielle Schultz of Boone. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Ayden and Aubree Hadfield of Kane.
Anita attended Bradford Area High School and had a love for life that was unmatched. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, lounging by the pool, solving puzzles and, most of all, being surrounded by her family.
Anita will be remembered for her infectious laughter, kind heart and unwavering love for those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
