Diane Hummel Obituary

Diane M. Hummel, 80, of Bradford passed away Saturday (July 12, 2025) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 27, 1945, in Jamestown, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Richard M. and Helen V. Erickson Shannon. Diane was a 1963 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On June 17, 1972, in Bradford, she married John H. Hummel Jr., who passed away Oct. 1, 2017.
Diane worked as a secretary for Bradford Area School District until her retirement in 1996.
She enjoyed and loved to read, attend craft shows and family outings.
Surviving are a son, Christopher Hummel of Baltimore; one sister, Beth (Ronald) Seech of Mercer; one granddaughter, Maya Hummel; and one niece, Lori Baldy.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday (July 17, 2025) atHollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 E. Main St., where funeral services will follow with the Rev. Jeremy Childs, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to United Way of the Bradford Area or a charity of the donor's choice.
