Francis Hill Obituary
RIXFORD - The Rev. Francis "Frank" Plummer Hill, 82, of Clark Street, while at Bradford Manor, left this life to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday (Nov. 17, 2024).
He was born Aug. 21, 1942, in Sanford, Maine, to Hugh and Electa Plummer Hill. On May 5, 1979, at Overcomers Church of Faith, he married Daunna McKeown Snow, who survives.
Frank graduated from Paris High School, South Paris, Maine, in 1960. Then he entered the U.S. Air Force and was discharged in 1966. Next, he enrolled in Faith School of Theology, Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and was ordained into the ministry through the Independent Assemblies of God International. He pastored churches in Maine, New York and Florida, and most recently at Overcomers Church of Faith in Aiken.
Frank and his wife, Daunna, served as co-pastors for 41 years at the Church of Faith. Frank loved the Lord Jesus and loved preaching God's Word. Frank also worked for Halliburton Services in Bradford for 18 years and Stuck's Bus Garage for 22 years, serving as an Otto-Eldred bus driver.
Frank was a longtime member of the Otto-Eldred Ministerium. He was an avid basketball fan, especially cheering on his favorite Boston Celtics team. He also skillfully played the rhythm bones instrument to the delight of all who listened.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Daunna, are his beloved daughter, Holly (John R.) McKeown and their son, Josh, of Farmington, N.Y.; his beloved son, Francis "Frank" (Betsy) Hill Jr. and their children, Jacob and Molly, of Avon, Maine; his stepson, Rudy (Sharon) Snow of Bradford and their children, Tanya (Fred) Wilbon of Bradford and Christopher (Courtney) Snow of Rixford; and his stepdaughter, Jodi (Jeff) Hokenson of Arcade, N.Y., and their children Heidi (Bucky) Carder of Bliss, N.Y., Bridget (Jim) Yansick of Bliss and Hans (Katie) Hokenson of Orchard Park, N.Y. Frank is survived by great-grandchildren, Ireland, Kieran, Brenna, Connor, Chloe, Carson, Emory, Brystol, Paxton, Easton, Hala and Kya. Frank is also survived by brother Brian (Faye) Hill of South Paris; and sister Karen Spurgin of Joshua, Texas.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Myrna Lamb; and his ex-wife, Joy, who was the mother of his two children.
Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 21, 2024) at Eldred First Church of God. A funeral service will follow at 11 o'clock with Pastor Jeff Hokenson officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
