Kenneth Cordner Obituary

MARSHBURG - Kenneth R. "Ken" Cordner, 89, of Klondike Road passed away peacefully at home Friday (May 16, 2025).
Born Feb. 19, 1936, in Eldred, he was a son of the late William and Luella Wright Cordner. He was married to Winifred M. Nichols Cordner, who preceded him in death on April 7, 2012.
Mr. Cordner attended Otto-Eldred schools. He grew up on the family farmstead on Canfield Hollow in Eldred, then lived in Frewsburg, N.Y., and Warren prior to settling on Klondike Road in 1972. He was employed for 56 years as a union carpenter.
Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He had worked on the construction of the bridge at Kinzua Dam and Eldred Elementary School.
Surviving are one son, Bruce Cordner of Eldred; one daughter, Kimberly (Dan) Westlake of Beverly Hills, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Chad, Shannon, Melissa, Nate and Tonie; as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandi Solinger in 2011 and Linda Eaton in 2009; as well as a grandson, Zachery Parslow, in 2022; and a granddaughter, Nicole Solinger, in 2020.
Per Ken's wishes there will be no public services. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Eldred.
