Lillian Leonard Obituary

KANE - Lillian Leonard, 89, formerly of Kanesholm, passed away Monday (Nov. 24, 2014) at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born April 8, 1925, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Julius and Margaret Jonat Selig. On Dec. 18, 1948, in Buffalo, she married Ralph "Bud" Leonard, who preceded her in death.
Lillian loved to sing in the church choir at St. Callistus Catholic Church, where she was employed as the church secretary for many years. She also had worked at UPS, was employed as switchboard operator at the Kane Community Hospital and served as a volunteer at the Friends' Memorial Public Library.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce (Joanne) Leonard of Kane and A.W. "Bud" (Karen) Leonard of West Seneca, N.Y.; a daughter, Linda (Dave) Dunn of Cambridge Springs; five grandsons, James Hajnos, Kyle P. Anderson, Daniel Leonard, Richard Leonard and Samuel Leonard; two granddaughters, Donna Holt and Kaitlin Leonard; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, were a granddaughter, Laura Leonard; a sister, Eleanor Herda; and six brothers, Adolf, Albert, Arthur, Fred, Donald and Bob Selig.
Friends will be received Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the gathering space of St. Callistus Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Friends' Memorial Public Library, 230 Chase St., Kane, PA 16735.
