Margaret Confer Obituary
Born Nov. 8, 1936, in Coraopolis, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (O'Rielly) Manion. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School in McKees Rocks.
On June 16, 1954, in Coraopolis, she married George E. Confer, who preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2001.
Peg was employed at Bradford High School and worked in the cafeteria, retiring in 1994 after 30 years of service.
She was a member of St. Bernard Church.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Sharon (Kerry) York, Rachelle (Ryan) Stiver and Don (Nichole) Hannold; seven great-grandchildren, Jared McAndrew, Derek McAndrew, Tryston York, Noah York, Airanna Tyler, Tony Ashley and Dennis Ashley; three great-great-grandchildren, Maisyn Larson, Kennedy McAndrew and Noah Shove; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peg was preceded in death by four children, Mary Pat Confer, Bonnie Sue Confer, Deborah Hannold and Charlene DeCorte; and one grandson, Daniel DeCorte.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday (May 16, 2024) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Jim Gutting officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery,
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to St. Bernard Church, 95 E. Corydon St., Bradford, PA 16701.

The high point of summers growing up was always the annual trip to see Uncle George and Aunt Peg at Rushford Lake. So many memories! I'll never forget the time I couldn't make it home from college for Thanksgiving, so I got a ride to Bradford and celebrated with them. They cooked lobster! We will miss you Aunt Peg!
