Patricia Perry Obituary

AUSTIN - Patricia G. "Pat" Perry, 78, a longtime resident of Austin, passed away with her loving family by her side Saturday (Nov. 1, 2025) at Penn Highlands DuBois, after a brief illness.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Patricia was born Thursday, Oct. 9, 1947, in Olean, N.Y. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Ethel and William Mallery. On Oct. 21, 1995, in Austin, she married Floyd Paul Perry, who survives.
Pat grew up in Olean and was a graduate of Olean High School, Class of 1965. After graduation, she moved to Austin, first working for Emporium Specialties. She later was employed by Northern Tier Community Action in Coudersport, a program that assisted needy families with weatherization, etc. For 23 years, Pat was employed by Potter County Human Services as a social worker until her retirement from the county. Along with her husband, Paul, Pat owned and operated Perry's Enterprises in Austin.
Pat was a member of God's Country Global Methodist Church in Austin and was a member of the former Mecca Chapter 217 O.E.S in Austin. She enjoyed crocheting, visiting the casino and reading. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Paul; three children, Annette (David) Carr of Coudersport, Wade (Michelle) Smith of Morriston, Fla., and Kathy Averill of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Shannell, Benjamin, Jacob, Hannah, Emily and Caroline; 10 great-grandchildren, Addyson, Aaron, Emma, Milo, Abel, Lilly, Henry, Molly, Bryce and Daxton; her dear friend and traveling companion, Kris Reese; and her three siblings, Steven Walker, Rick Walker and Cindy Garzel.
In addition to her grandparents, Pat was predeceased by a son, Douglas Perry.
Family and friends may gather from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 5, 2025) at God's Country Global Methodist Church, Turner Street, where funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Todd Lamer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pat's name may be made to Teacher's Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915.

We had many great times with Pat and her wonderful husband Paul. Going out to dinner and doing nothing but laugh. Going down to the store just sitting around talking. You will be missed our dear friend. We love you. May God hold you up in the palms of His Hands.
