Every single time I drive by the location of Dick and Barb's home thoughts of him go through my mind. I always enjoyed his humor and shared his love of cars. He was one of those people that made your life better by knowing him. I am so glad that I bumped into Dick shortly before he passed and had the opportunity to speak with him about what he was going through. He spoke about his family, and was greatly concerned for them, knowing he was in failing health. I will always miss him.

Dear Barbara, I don't believe we ever met, but I knew Dick after going to Basic Training with him at Fort Dix as well as AIT there and Fort Knox, Kentucky along with some other St. Mary's guys: Tom Schatz, Jim Groll, and Bob Craft. And of course we spent 6 years in the Ridgway unit of the National Guard. I was saddened to just hear that Dick had passed away and wanted to express my sincere condolences. I will always remember Dick fondly, and especially how he bragged about his Chevelle SS 396. God Bless him and you and your family.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss of Dick. He was someone I am happy to have been in the service with and worked with most of my life. Dick will always be remembered by us all as a Good man, husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend. My prayers go out for Barb and all of the family. Tom S.
