Robert L. Evan III, 52, of East Main Street passed away Saturday (Sept. 27, 2025) at Bradford Manor, surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 2, 1973, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Robert L. Evan II, and Sharon George of Yuma, Ariz.
He was a 1991 graduate of Bradford Area High School and went on to the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute to pursue his love of cooking.
Rob worked for his grandparents at Evan's Rollerdrome in his early years. He moved to Utah and worked as a bartender and server for 16 years. He returned to Bradford nine years ago and owned and operated Evan's Texas Hots and then Evan's Texas Grille.
He loved music, cooking and was the biggest Buffalo Bills fan. Robbie was known as the life of the party his whole life, especially back in his roller-skating days. However, being with family and his grandchildren was what he cherished the most. He loved being known as Roller Skating Poppy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his significant other of nine years, Channin Moore of Bradford; two daughters, Amanda (Joshua) Evan of Bradford and Brook (Anthony) Cesa of Smethport; one son, Garret Evan of Bradford; four grandchildren, Aden, Lincoln, Logan and Benjamin; his stepmother, Jeanne (Gary) Hoy; and his sisters, Tiffany Luther and Nicci (Mark) Wolford; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Evan and Jordan Evan; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Barb George; paternal grandparents, Bob and Joyce Evan; one aunt, Susan Evan Gleason; uncle Bobby Gleason; and cousin Ashley Booth Griffin.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 4, 2025) for a celebration of his life at St. Francis Church Parish Hall.
