Rosella Launer

JOHNSONBURG - Rosella M. "Rose" Launer, 90, of 52 Launer Drive, Johnsonburg, died Sunday (Feb. 27, 2022) at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1931, in Johnsonburg, a daughter to the late John and Helen Wantuck Gorske. On Aug. 27, 1949, she married J. Pat Cunningham. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1992. On Feb. 2, 2001 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg she married Kenneth E. "Ken" Launer Sr. and he survives.
Along with her husband Ken at home, Rose is survived by sons Ken (Bonnie) Launer Jr. of Johnsonburg and Shane (Missy) Launer of Johnsonburg and daughters-in-law Gail Launer and Cheryl Launer, both of Johnsonburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley and Jay Launer, Rob Launer, Jimmy (Samantha) Launer, Kristyn (Eric) Lowry, Brian (Jacqui) Launer, Tommy (Lindsay) Launer and Becky (Matt) Helfer and 12 great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild due in May.
Also surviving are cousins Richard and Raymond Wantuck, Sandy Zerbe and a special cousin Bernice Morgan.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she is predeceased by a brother John Gorske, a nephew Douglas Gorske, a niece Lee Ann Dixon, sons Tom and Donald Launer and a grandson Joshua Launer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose M. Launer will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, at 10 a.m. on Thursday with the Rev. David Wilson, pastor, as officiant. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
