Shirley Foster Obituary

Shirley C. Foster, 89, of West Washington Street passed away Saturday (Nov. 23, 2024) at Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born March 1, 1935, in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late Carl M. and Martha E. (Calhoun) Carlson.
Shirley had been employed as a library assistant at Penfield High School in Penfield, N.Y., retiring in 1994.
On June 29, 1974, she married Stephen A. Foster, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2020.
Shirley was a member of West Branch United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, and traveling with her husband after he retired.
Surviving are her only daughter, Sharon Renwick of Petaluma, Calif., and many friends in Willow Creek.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Linda Lynn Renwick and Ricky Blaine Renwick.
Friends are invited to funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday (Dec. 2, 2024) at West Branch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ernie Perry, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to West Branch United Methodist Church.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
