Timothy Bond Obituary

KANE - Timothy S. Bond, 77, of Kane went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2024).
Born Dec. 27, 1946, Tim was the son of the late Rev. Earnest and Pauline (Strait) Bond. A 1964 graduate of Bradford High School, he then served four years in the U.S. Navy and graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian education and music. He received his master's degree from Huntington College in Christian education.
He pastored several churches and worked at Kane Hardwood. He owned and operated Bond's Christian Supply and was an Allen Organ dealer for Northwest Pennsylvania. He later owned and operated the Black Cherry Cafe. In 1974 he married Sharon Samples, whom he met at college, and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. Together they worked with churches, taught music lessons and installed Allen Organs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Eric (Jessie) Bond and Alex Bond, both of Kane; and was the very proud grandfather of Mason, Ava and Lucas Bond. He is also survived by his brothers, George (Linda) Bond and Edward (June) Bond; his brothers-in-law, Norman (Kathy) Samples and Chris Samples, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Wesley Bond.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Pflieger and the Rev. Carol Sharp co-celebrating the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Tabor Lutheran Church, 101 Dawson St., Kane, PA 16735; or the Presbyterian Church of Kane, 103 Greeves St., Kane, PA 16735.

I will always remember Tim´s smile and laugh and the wonderful visits I had with Tim and Sharon in Cleveland where I lived years ago. Family get togethers and growing up in the same neighborhood brings fond memories as well. My heartfelt condolences Sharon, Eric and Alex.

Timothy, Timothy, how we will all miss your unique humor, your interest in so many things, astronomy, Ham radio, music, and so much more. We had so many good conversations on so many things , on all these things. You were a very good person, genuine, kind, caring and fought very hard, with a casual humor. You were a veteran brother, and good friend. Rest in peace dear Tim, and my very sincere to your wonderful family.

Sharon, Eric, and Alex I am so sorry to hear about Tim's passing! My heart and prayers go out to all of you. I will cherish the memories we had growing up and sharing family get togethers. Unfortunately I am in Florida and unable to attend Tim's memorial service.
