William MacDonald Obituary

William J. MacDonald, 80, of 238 Monterey Ave., Ridgway, died Saturday (Jan. 19, 2013) at his home surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 5, 1932, in Ridgway, a son of the late Maurice and Mary Kielocker MacDonald. On April 24, 1965, in St. Leo's Church, he married Filomena "Dolly" Magrini MacDonald, who survives.
In addition to his wife of more than 47 years, he is survived by three daughters, Molly (John) Cerroni of Ridgway, Lucy (David) Bobby of Ridgway and Grace (Andrew) Messineo of Ridgway; a son, Sam (Michele) MacDonald of Ridgway; 24 grandchildren, Olivia, John Paul, Catherine, Sam, Mary, Laney and Ben Cerroni Luke, Matt, Grace, Charlie and Steven Bobby Joseph, Rena, Edward, Frank, Anthony, Max and Patrick Messineo Percy, Moe, Veronica, Aaron and Penelope MacDonald and one baby grandchild; six sisters, Helen Powell and Grace Gregory, both of St. Marys, Margie Robinson, Ann Kennedy and Marianne Drathman, all of Ridgway, and Ruth (Bill) Krizan of Pittsburgh; four brothers, Neal MacDonald of Clear?eld, Joseph MacDonald, Edward (Evelyn) MacDonald and James (Judy) MacDonald, all of Ridgway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John MacDonald.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Thompson Funeral Home, 136 Center St., Ridgway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Leo Magnus Catholic Church, Ridgway, with the Rev. Brian Vossler, pastor, as celebrant. A military service will be accorded by the Ridgway Burial Detail. Burial will be in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of ?owers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo's School, 117 Depot St., Ridgway, PA 15853.
