I will miss my dear friend. His truck trudging up my driveway was always a welcome sight. Our conversations were warm and friendly, but then we were discussing a place we both love, Vermont. David and I worked on many projects together over the almost 20 years since we met. From moving the outhouse to building the septic field. Planting trees and cutting down trees. He did all of his projects properly. I consider David a wondeful Vermonter, and will miss him for he represented the fabric of the old Vermont we all love and need to try hard to maintain. When you drive up Pikes Falls Road, as David must have done 20,000 times, drive slowly, and help a stanger in distress if need be, just as David would have done.
Let us all honor David by honoring Vermont. God Bless you David

I had the pleasure of digging test pits with David. He was a hard worker, and always pleasant. The last time I saw him he was out with some young people on Green Up Day picking up West Jamaica Road. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. He will be missed.

There was never a time while walking along Pikes Falls Rd. with my dog that I didn't look for and hope to find David working in his wood pile or excavating or just tinkering around his mother's house. Always stopping in the middle of the road just to say hello as he drove by. There was something constant and it made the world right seeing him. Always with a smile and a wave going to or from as he passed by. Anyone who had the good fortune of knowing him knew that this was a good and honest man.
The Hamilton family has my most sincere condolences. May his memory be for a Blessing. ?"?
