Eleanor Nash Obituary

WILMINGTON -- Eleanor C. Nash, 82, of Beebe Road, died Friday morning, Oct. 22, 2004, at the Centers For Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, where she had resided since August.

Mrs. Nash was born in Boston on Nov. 11, 1921, the daughter of the late John I. and Esther L. (Dahl) Johnson. She was a 1939 graduate of Roxbury (Mass.) Memorial High School.

She married George H. “Bill” Nash on May 18, 1946, Mr. Nash predeceased her on July 19, 1979.

While living in Norwood, Mass., she was a member of Sons of Norway and active in Baptist General Conference Church and Westwood (Mass.) Evangical Free Church.

She relocated to Wilmington in 1999 to be nearer her daughter, Jennifer Fitzgerald.

In addition to her daughter, she also leaves two sons, Geoffrey Nash of Marshfield, Mass., and G. Russell Nash of Atlanta; a brother, the Rev. John Johnson of Concord, N.H.; a sister, Maren Davidson of Center Conway, N.H.; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Wilmington Congregational Church with the Rev. Marcia Dorey, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the family lot in Highland Cemetery in Norwood. There are no calling hours.
