Jane Short Obituary

Jane was a gardener, animal lover, avid reader, news junkie, and rabid women's basketball fan. She married congregational minister, Wally Short, in W. Brattleboro, VT in 1960 and lived in Montpelier, VT and Framingham, MA. After Wally's death in 1976, Jane and her sons moved to Brattleboro where they ran Molly Stark Nursery. A gifted soprano, Jane studied at Juilliard and sang with the Marlboro Chorale and in NE Bach Festivals under the direction of Blanche Moyse. Jane leaves a legacy of love for her grandchildren: Jordan, Burlington, VT, Haley, Medford, MA, John and Tim, Granville, MA, her son, Scott and his wife Liz, Cummington, MA, son Mark and his wife Allyson Goodwin, Trevett, ME. At Jane's request, there is no formal service. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Brattleboro Music Center, 72 Blanche Moyse Way, Brattleboro, VT 05301.

Yesterday

Farewell to you Jane. You have left us but will not be forgotten.
In the 60's Parks Jr. introduced me to you and we have been friends ever since. Back in the day, Parks told me about riding with you in a Cadillac convertible smoking cigars in Brattleboro! Getting back with your family in heaven will be a blast. Diana Holcomb
