Louise Wisell Obituary

Louise Christine (McGaffigan) Wisell, 96, of Hinsdale, NH, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025.

Louise was born in Vernon, Vermont in 1929 to John and Hester McGaffigan. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Wisell.Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Bertha Scherlin, Rose Holton, and Daniel McGaffigan. She is survived by her four children: Lois Dunham (Eugene), Vivian Rinker (William), Barry Wisell, and Todd Wisell. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Louise was known for her quick wit, sass, creativity, and endless love. She enjoyed reading, drawing, square dancing, knitting, and singing.Louise brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.

A visitation will be held from 10am to 1130am at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 57 High Street, Brattleboro VT with services beginning at 1130am. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering the extraordinary woman she was.A private burial will take place at a later date.
