Luise and I spoke last on Thursday April 8, while in her hospice bed. Our friendship evolved from my exposure to her latest book, What To Eat, which she autographed. We gradually saw each other regularly as we became involved in many of the same venues. She brought me on as speaker/guest three times for her weekly Sunday talk show in Bellows Falls. In the past five years we have shared a close and meaningful friendship. I miss you, Luise. Your forever friend in spirit, Helene Champagne, Westminster VT
