To the Amidon family. How grateful I am to have experienced Peter and all your family. He was an artist in residence at READSBORO when I was there and left a beautiful footprint of songs and dances. He have dinner with us one evening. May God rest his beautiful soul. His songs and dances will live on forever.
With much love and many prayers,

I took several Orff workshops with Peter and Mary Alice Amazon over the years. One of my favorite songs Peter taught us is "Let Your Little Light Shine". A couple of years ago I made up an arrangement for ukelele for this song.
I love listening to Peter and Mary Alice´s music, both for kids and adults, and have lots of your CD´s and yes cassettes(I do go back). I was so sorry to hear Peter had died. All my best to you Mary Alice, and your family during what I imagine to be a difficult time for you. Because I´ve taken your workshops, I feel kind of like I know you. I don´t really, but I´ll definitely miss hearing the two of you singing together!
All my best,

I first learned of Peter when was working at the Drew University Library in the 1970's. I was working with Mary Alice Amidon's mother, Alice Copeland. I heard Alice speak of her daughter and motherly advice Little did I know that I would live in Brattleboro, meet Mary Alice and Peter and enjoy watching them grow and prosper and be so influential in our world. I attend worship at Guilford many times and watched Peter and Mary Alice with their faithfulness and creativity. THe world has lost a gentle, loving, kind, and musical creative soul. RIP Peter. Alice Copeland had nothing to worry about. Mary Alice married an amazing man to form a life partnership of love and music. You will be missed.
