Sharon Bice Obituary

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Sharon Lynn Bice, 54, died peacefully at home Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, with her family in attendance at her time of death.

Mrs. Bice was a member of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue Association in Vermont. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Basketville of Putney and was also a member of the Putney Historical Society. She was an accomplished needle woman and created many art pieces in cross stitch method.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey M. Bice and wife, Lisa; her grandson, Ethan Parker Bice; her step-grandson, Brian; her father Reid P. Bice and wife, Barbara; her mother, Dorothy Arbothknot and husband, Jack of New Bern, N.C.; many aunts, cousins and friends and her beloved dog, Fallon.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary R. Bice.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3401 Bellaire Drive S., Fort Worth, with the Rev. J. Frederick Barber, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, TX 76107.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff of Community Hospice of Texas for its loving care and expertise.
