Sherry Bailey Obituary

Sherry O'Neal Bailey, age 71 of Haslet, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Andy Rodgers officiating. Interment followed in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation was held just prior to the service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Morehart Mortuary.

Sherry Lynn O'Neal was born on Sept. 3, 1949 in Graham, Texas to parents, J.C. O'Neal and Billie Ruth Walker O'Neal. She was a 1967 graduate of Breckenridge High School. She also graduated from Commercial College in Abilene, Fort Worth School of Business, Tarrant County Junior College and Texas Wesleyan College and earned a degree in Business Administration in 1980. On Aug. 19, 1983, Sherry married Charlie Henry Bailey, Jr. in Smithfield, Texas. Sherry was a member of First Baptist Church in Breckenridge and a Charter member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. O'Neal; her husband, Charlie Bailey, Jr.; and her grandparents, Jettie and Charlie O'Neal and Lillie and Bill Walker.

Sherry is survived by her son, Jeromy Bailey and wife Sharon of Haslet; her mother, Billie Walker O'Neal of Breckenridge; two brothers, Bill O'Neal and wife Carolyn, Robert O'Neal and wife Debbie, all of Breckenridge; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be sent online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
