Albert Goodfield Obituary
Albert W. Goodfield, 82, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband to Kathleen (Parker) Goodfield for 43 years.
Albert was born on October 9, 1940 in Bristol, CT son to the late Telesphfore and Margaret (Duval) Goodfield. At the age of 18, Albert enlisted into the U.S. Navy and proudly served our country during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged from the military and went on to work for New Departure where he retired as a forger. Albert was a highly-skilled and talented woodworker and used his ability to construct or fix many items, including toy chests for his grandchildren to enjoy. He loved the outdoors and was an avid camper and fisherman. In addition, Albert loved story-telling and always
had a story or two to share with anyone who would lend an ear to listen. A man of tough-love, Albert will be missed dearly by his family.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen Goodfield, of Bristol, Albert is survived by his children, Lisa Chamberland, Dawn Michaud, Ruth Goodfield, Susan Goodfield, and Jeanie Goodfield; his brothers, Andre Goodfield and his wife, Mele and Michael Goodfield and his wife, Francine; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his
parents, he was predeceased by his son, Troy Robillard, his sister, Margaret Goodfield, and his brothers,
Daniel and Telesphfore Goodfield.
Military honors and a gathering in celebration of Alberts life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers,
donations in memory of Albert can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka,
