Amelia Mancini Obituary

Amelia S. Mancini, 98, of Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Bristol Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1922 in New Britain, daughter of the late John and Mary (Carenza) Sabino. Amelia was the loving wife of the late Alexander Mancini for 66 years before his passing in 2009. She worked at GE and Red Cross for many years. Amelia was an exceptional cook and baker. She enjoyed visiting Italy, quilting and adored her grandson, Rocco. Amelia is survived by her son Alexander "Al" Mancini and his wife Rose Marie of Bristol; grandson Rocco S. Mancini and his wife Kim of Bristol and nieces Marianne Sabino of Chester, Nanci Sabino of N.H. Besides her husband Alexander and her parents, Amelia is predeceased by her brothers Paul Sabino and his wife Julie and Ralph Sabino. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Amelia's name to St. Francis de Sales Church, 180 Laurel St., Bristol, CT 06010. Amelia and her husband Al were my mentors. My godfather Al taught me how to swim at Rocky Neck and my godmother Amelia she taught me to cook, bake and much more. They would take me to Rocky Neck every Saturday in the summer months. I miss them very much.
