David Lindquist Obituary

ANDOVER, MA

David E. Lindquist, 81, of Andover, MA, beloved husband of Nancy (Batura) Lindquist, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024, with his family by his side after a short illness. David was born in Bristol, CT on October 31, 1942, and was the son of the late Albin J. and Charlotte (Morway) Lindquist. David was a graduate of Bryant College and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and graduated in 1967. He also took extension classes at Harvard University. He enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was stationed aboard the USS Yosemite. David had a long working career and retired from Bank of America as a loan officer. In his spare time, you could find him skiing, traveling, going to the beach, visiting Maine and residing in Florida during the winters. David loved fine dining especially when it came to dessert time. He loved to

be with family and friends especially cruising around with his lovely wife in his 1969 Chevy Camaro convertible. Besides his wife of 50 years, Nancy, David is survived by his two brothers, Bruce Lindquist of Bristol and Richard Lindquist and his wife Joan also of Bristol and by his sister Elissa Robin Lindquist of Canton, his brother-in-law John Batura and his wife Patti of Bloomingdale, IL. and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Elena Batura of Oak Forrest, IL. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. To 1 p.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave. Bristol, CT 06010. A Celebration of Life for David will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 224 Lovely St., Avon, CT 06001. Burial with military honors in Forestville Cemetery, 36 Circle St., Forestville. Contributions in David's memory may be made to Wreaths Across America, PO Box 249 Columbia Falls, ME 04623 or to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 6675-8516.
