Donald Ulric Audet, 78, of North Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Bristol, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 30, 1947, in Saint-Lon-de-Standon, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Donat and Laurette (Lafontaine) Audet.

Donald was best known as a highly skilled and dedicated diesel mechanic in Bristol and the surrounding towns. Over the years, he maintained and repaired heavy equipment for many local companies, earning a reputation for his knowledge, precision, and work ethic.

In 2008, after retiring, Donald and his wife, Donna, moved to North Fort Myers, where they embraced Floridas sunshine and community spirit. Each morning, he could be found riding his bicycle five miles through the neighborhood, greeting everyone with his smile and a wave. He loved spending time at the beach, listening to live music, dancing, taking camping trips in their motorhome, and entertaining friends and family at their home. Known for his generosity and kindness, Donald was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Dragon) Audet; his daughters, Connie Harkey (Dave Gagnon) and Kendra Damon-Smith (Thomas); and his cherished grandsons, Mitchell Harkey, Andrew, Hunter, and Trevor Damon-Smith. He also leaves behind his brothers, Alain, Normand, Yoland, and Nicolas; as well as many nieces and nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law who thought the world of him.

In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his brother, Christian Audet.

Per Donald's wishes, no services will be held at this time. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.

In his memory, the family asks that you honor Donald by performing a random act of kindness. His life was defined by generosity, warmth, and a willingness to help othersa legacy that will live on through every kind deed done in his name.
