Donald Deveau Obituary
Donald J. Deveau, 96, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025. He was born on December 19, 1928 in Van Buren, ME, on the Cyr Plantation, the son of the late George and Dora Deveau. Donald was a parishioner St. Matthew Church, Bristol. He retired from Colt Firearms after working there for many years and was also a strong UAW member. He is survived by his loving wife, Laurena (Durepos) Deveau of Bristol and their three children and their spouses, Ann Mills and her husband John, Raylene Deveau-DiGregorio and her husband Carl and Jerry Deveau and his wife Gwynne; his grandchildren David (Jennifer McClellan) Mills, Katherine (Nathaniel) Mills Acker, John J. (Jody) DiGregorio, Michael DiGregorio and Sam Deveau; his great-grandchildren Jackson and Samantha Mills, Amelia Acker and Julianna and Julian DiGregorio and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 9 a.m. from O'Brien Funeral Home to St. Matthew Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a,m,, followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. To the entire Deveau family I send my thoughts....It's hard losing the matriarch of a family, but knowing Don and his only son I have no doubt he will carry on with the essence that was instilled by his dad....there are many words to describe Don, but (Love) best describes him....marriages don't last unless there is love.....children don't thrive unless there is love....friendships don't thrive unless there is love.....so to Don and his family I say thankyou....I felt the love...my prayers are with you all...Karleen Kelly
