Elizabeth Ewer (Czerwinski)

EAST BERLIN

Elizabeth Ewer (Czerwinski), 84, of East Berlin, CT passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2025. She was born in New Britain, CT on May 8, 1941. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary Czerwinski of

Kensington, CT.

Elizabeth graduated from Berlin High School and worked for many years at the New Britain Candy Company in sales. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and time spent with family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Rebecca Smolicz of New Britain and Mark Abramski and his wife Kim of Danbury; her brothers, Frank Czerwinski and his wife Suzanne and David Czerwinski; her brother-in-law, Bob Schiffke; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Roman Abramski and Robert Ewer; her son, John Abramski of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and her sister, Carol Schiffke. She will be missed by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Berlin. Please meet directly at church. Burial will follow at West Lane Cemetery in Kensington. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
