Elizabeth Wilde Obituary
It is with great sadness that on March 30, 2025, we lost our beloved mother and grandmother (Nini), Elizabeth Bette (Eschner) Wilde, at the age of 93. Bette was born on December 6, 1931, in Bristol, CT. She was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (Zielke) Eschner. Bette was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Wilde, whom she married on May 5, 1951, as well as her siblings, Ernest Eschner and Johanna (Eschner) Jewett. A devoted homemaker, Bette dedicated her life to her family and found great joy in being Nini to her beloved grandchildren. She also generously gave her time as a volunteer at Immanuel Lutheran School. Bette loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and traveling
with her husband, family, and friends. Together, they created a lifetime of cherished memories, especially enjoying time on Cape Cod. Bette is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Becky Wilde of Bristol and Kerrie and Scott Holliday of Burlington, CT; her brother-in-law, Donald Wilde of Bristol; her three grandchildren, Caitlin, Calvin, and Cayleigh Holliday. Visiting hours will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave, Bristol, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at DuPont Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, 154 Meadow Street, Bristol, CT 06010. Bettes warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
