George Koehler Obituary

George Russell Koehler, Jr., 71, of Plainville, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1950 in Fall River, MA, son of the late George R. Koehler, Sr. and Eunice (Gray) Lavigne.
George was the loving husband of Irene (Smith) Koehler and they were together for over 40 years.
He served in the US Marine Corps, and had a love of history, specifically the Civil War.
He enjoyed reading, playing the guitar, cooking, and most of all spending quality time with his grandchildren. George was an avid fan of the NY Giants, Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women's Basketball.
Besides his wife, Irene, George is survived by his daughters Stacy Koehler-Rivera and her husband Carlos of Bristol, Jennifer Garland of Terryville; son Jason Reynolds of Meriden; grandchildren Sydeny Koehler of Manhattan, Anneliese Rivera of Bristol, Gavin and Jaxson Garland of Terryville, Madison and Jaylin Reynolds of Meriden; great-granddaughter Ainsley Halscheid of Bristol; sisters Annie Koehler of TN, Ginny Nemeth of FL, Brenda Smith of GA, and several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by daughters Jessica and Beth Koehler, and brothers Charles Koehler and Raymond Perron.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Military honors will follow.
